Puncture-proof tires have been a compelling idea. Michelin has been working on it since 2005, and after more than a decade of effort, it is finally closer to reality. By the company’s future ambitions of being more sustainable, the company tested its puncture-proof tires for the first time on an electric car.

Good Air, a tire company based in Luxembourg, a European country, has tested a tire that is being called a tireless tire.

According to the AFP news agency, the new tires being tested could make a reduction in air pressure or punctures in car tires a thing of the past.

According to the company’s website, Goodyear Tire Company operates in 23 countries around the world, with one of its two innovation centres located in the US state of Ohio and the other in Luxembourg, Colmarburg.

Goodyear’s project manager Michael Rachita, these tires have been driven at a speed of 160 km up to 120,000 km.

According to him, another generation of these tires is being developed which will be able to rotate with light and low noise and have low resistance capabilities.
