The World Bank expressed confidence in Balochistan government’s development policy.

The WB agrees to increase support for development of water, agriculture, energy and human resource sectors in Balochistan.

Provision of funds as grant for development of Balochistan and increase technical assistance will be seriously considered, THE Country Director said.

The World Bank will also encourage other development partners and donors to provide assistance for the development of Balochistan, he said.

“We are grateful to the World Bank for increasing its assistance to the development of Balochistan and for the ongoing projects,” he said.

The CM welcomes increase in World Bank assistance and assures full cooperation from provincial government.

“Our province has less resources and more backwardness,” he said.

“We need resources to strengthen the infrastructure,” the CM said.

The World Bank should reduce the markup of loans, requested Bizenjo.

“Grant should be given to Balochistan instead of loans. Climate change, human resource development, education and technical training, employment, water, agriculture and energy development are our top priorities,” he said.
