ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Asad Umar said on Friday that now after the decision announced by the Election commission of Pakistan (ECP) there has been no reason left for Hamza Shehbaz to stay in the office of chief minister Punjab.
He was addressing a press conference after the verdict announced by ECP in regards to the disqualification of the dissident PTI members.
He opined that another chapter of the conspiracy against Pakistan has been revealed and the two decisions, the one announced by Supreme Court (SC) in regards to Article 63-A and the other by ECP, have been historic.
He underscored that in Pakistan loyalties were purchased through horse-trading and expressed sympathies with the ones who traded the dissident members of PTI.
“I would like to praise the legal team of PTI for their laudable efforts”, he added.
Asad Umar also said that SC has turned the votes cast by the deviant members void and now ECP has also disqualified those disloyal members.
While touching on the political crisis in Punjab, he said that it has been the biggest province but sadly under severe political turmoil.
PTI leader said that no one was aware of who has been holding the office of Governor Punjab, who has taken the slot of CM Punjab. Not only this, it is also unclear who has been taking decisions in the federation.
He asserted that the country has been suffering and the economic conditions were hit hard by the decisions of the incumbent government.
While concluding his address, Asad Umar said that Pakistan will now move towards immediate elections.
