Russia’s defense ministry said 771 Ukrainian fighters surrendered from the Azovstal steel factory in Mariupol in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 1,730 since Monday, according to RIA on Thursday.
According to RIA, 80 people were injured, according to the ministry.
Hundreds of Ukrainian forces have surrendered from the plant’s maze of bunkers and tunnels, although counts have differed between Moscow and Kyiv.
