KARACHI: The province of Sindh is again in the grip of the blistering heatwave and the temperature is expected to hit 40 degrees Celsius today.
The Meteorological Department has warned of a new heatwave that is going to smother Sindh from today till May 25.
The Sindh Health Department has issued a heatwave alert across the province and has set up heatwave wards in all government hospitals to endure any calamity.

The met department has said that due to the high humidity level in the air, high heat intensity would be felt.
Whereas, the department also claimed that the chances of rain remain zero.
Pakistan has been braving heat waves for the past few years and the scorching temperatures have been hitting the people very hard.
Due to the rising temperature during the month, it has been advised to the people by the government and concerned authorities to remain indoors and avoid unnecessarily mobilisation.
