The Knauf Ukraine plant, a prominent maker of construction and finishing products, has been targeted by Russian troops. Firefighters have been dispatched to the location to put out the flames.
According to sources, the event was reported on Telegram by Donetsk Regional Military Administration chief Pavlo Kyrylenko.
He shared photographs of massive columns of grey smoke created by a strong explosion.
“A key regional industry, Knauf Ukraine, was targeted by Russian aircraft today. The business’s premises were destroyed by fire. The State Emergency Service team is working to put out the fire,” the region’s leader wrote.
“The Russians have struck a completely civilian institution once again. They are purposefully damaging the industry of the Donetsk region in an attempt to wipe out what has been established for years and decades. However, they failed to consider how committed Ukrainians are. We’ll make it through this. We’re going to battle. Everything will be rebuilt, “The Chief of the Regional Military Administration emphasized this.
