It’s raining projects in Lollywood, with new shows, films, and telefilms being announced all the time. The Mehwish Hayat and HSY starrer for ARY has been added to the list of projects to keep an eye on.

According to an Instagram post shared by HSY, what we do know for sure is that Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, the designer-turned-actor, will be starring opposite Tamgha-e-Imtiaz renowned actor, Mehwish Hayat. The film is an ARY telefilm produced under the banner of iDream Entertainment. It was written by Faiza Iftikhar and will be directed by Ahmed Bhatti.

While the project is still under wraps, sources have revealed that it may be called Ijazat (although we may have to wait for confirmation on this). HSY will be styling himself as well as creating a look for the character. It’s shaping up to be a fun, entertaining project that’s unlike anything else we’ve seen from HSY so far.

While HSY was also tight-lipped about certain details, we were able to elicit some information. For starters, we know his character will be very different from what we’ve seen so far.

In an exclusive quote, HSY says, “I’m very excited to be playing this new role in this telefilm.” “What’s exciting is that it’s diametrically opposed to the two completely different characters I’ve played, Akram in Pehli Si Mohabbat and Mangshi in Ishrat: Made In China.” This is a completely different guy with a completely different personality. His sensitivity levels are entirely different. His approach to life and perspective on things is completely different.”

What HSY appears to enjoy the most about the role is the challenge it presents, and he appears to be ecstatic about it. He does, however, mention that the role is deeply rewarding despite its challenging nature.

While discussing his collaboration with Mehwish Hayat, he mentions how much he admires her and thinks she’s a brilliant star as well as an incredibly generous and kind actor.

Furthermore, he believes their chemistry is extremely strong. HSY is also excited to be working with Abdullah Seja, who has been a huge supporter of the star, and Ahmed Bhatti, with whom the star has never worked before but is enjoying the current process.

“It’s a pleasure to be on set with these guys,” HSY says.
