Ukrposhta, Ukraine’s state-owned postal service, will issue a stamp honouring Kalush Orchestra, the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
According to Ukrinform, this is according to Ihor Smilyanskyi, CEO of Ukrposhta.
“Kalush has won Eurovision, and we congratulate him. You’re fantastic! Ukrposhta issues stamps in compliance with our Art Council’s decision. But I believe I will have sufficient grounds to approve and expedite the release of the stamp honouring our victories. We did the same thing with Ruslana and Jamala “he wrote.
Smilyansky further stated that the stamp design will be decided separately following consultation with Eurovision. “We need to respect intellectual property rights if we want to go to Europe,” he stated.
The CEO presented one of the stamp design alternatives and reminded everyone of the continuing popular vote in the Diia app, on the company’s Facebook page, and on his personal Telegram channel for the stamp design.
“So far, there is an undisputed leader, but the winner will be determined in 5 days. In the meanwhile, Kalush will move on from competition “he emphasized
