Louisiana juvenile offenders who fled with a security guard were apprehended.

Louisiana juvenile offenders who fled with a security guard were apprehended.

Three juvenile detainees who escaped from a Louisiana detention center Saturday morning, perhaps with the assistance of a security worker, have all been apprehended and placed into custody, according to officials.

The Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office issued a statement Saturday informing the public that security guard Victoria Tune, 21, was believed to have assisted TyJuan Lafitte, Jeremiah Durham, both 17, and Na’Varaya Lane, 15, in escaping the Ware Youth Detention Center in Coushatta, Louisiana, in a white 2010 Pontiac G6. The convicts were apprehended and taken into custody a day later, according to the agency.

The convicts were captured in Texas by the Houston Police Department at 2 a.m. Sunday, when detectives discovered the getaway car in a motel parking lot, according to a statement from the Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Juan Lafitte, Jeremiah Durham, and Na’Varaya Lane were caught on Sunday after escaping from the Ware Youth Detention Center in Coushatta, Louisiana, the day before.

The vacant car was tracked for many hours before the suspects returned to it, at which point the convicts and Tune were surrounded and arrested, according to the Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office.

“The unoccupied getaway car driven by Victoria Tune was found in the parking lot of a Houston motel after a joint effort by the Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, the LA State Police Troop G Investigations Unit, the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, the LA Fusion Center, and the Houston Police Department’s Crime Suppression Team,” the statement read.

“All suspects will be extradited back to Louisiana to face additional charges related to the escape,” the statement stated.

The event occurred just a week after a high-profile case in Alabama in which security worker Vicky White aided inmate Casey White in escaping out of jail. The convict was apprehended Monday after the two wrecked their car and were surrounded by police. Vicky White committed suicide during the attempted arrest.
