KHARIAN: In a bid to counter the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf wave all over the country before its Azadi March, its political rival ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz is all set to express its political power at the Kotla Arab Ali Khan today (Sunday).
A massive stage is set at the Kotla Football Ground where the local party leadership featuring PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz will speak to the party workers. The party rally will kick-off at 6pm today.
Maryam Nawaz, earlier, on Thursday said that the talks of the early elections before November are merely speculations, however adding that the general elections are the only solution. She was talking to the media outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC) after the hearing on the appeals filed by her and Captain (R) Safdar in the Avenfield reference.

Maryam Nawaz said the coalition government cannot deliver and take big decisions. The PML-N leader said that the only solution to the prevailing problems is the general elections.
She urged the nation to bring Nawaz Sharif back into power with a two-thirds majority whenever the general elections happen.
To a question, she said it is commendable that the Pakistan Army has decided to abstain from politics. However, PML-N leader said that only Imran Khan has problems with the constitutional role of the army.
She added that Imran Khan doesn’t have feet of his own and he needs support to survive in Pakistan’s political landscape. She claimed that Imran Khan’s political future has ended. “It suits him to make the institutions controversial,” Maryam said.
