Ex British spy author of dossier says Putin is seriously ill
The previous British covert agent who composed a dossier on Donald Trump and affirmed Russian obstruction in the 2016 US political race says sources have let him know Vladimir Putin is “genuinely sick”.
Christopher Steele, who ran the Russia work area at MI6 in London somewhere in the range of 2006 and 2009 and worked there during the 1990s, said Putin’s disease was “a component” of what’s going on in Ukraine.
He told: “Absolutely, based on the thing we’re hearing from sources in Russia and somewhere else, is that Putin is, as a matter of fact, genuinely sick.
“It’s not satisfactory precisely what this sickness is – whether it’s serious or terminal, or no big deal either way. However, positively, I believe it’s important for the situation.”
His remarks come after Ukrainian Major General Kyrylo Budanov, in a selective meeting with Sky News, additionally said the Russian chief is truly sick with malignant growth and that an overthrow to eliminate him is in progress in Russia.
Theory around Vladimir Putin’s wellbeing has flowed for a few years, but has just strengthened since he requested the attack of Ukraine.
