Unfortunately, Britney Spears’ “miracle baby” has died. In a joint statement with fiancé Sam Asghari, the singer, 40, acknowledged her loss on Instagram on Saturday.
She said in the statement, “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy.”
Added, “This is a devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along. However we were overly excited to share the good news.”
Spears and Asghari, both 28, noted that their “strength” right now is their love for one other. The caption on the post, which was signed “Sam & Britney,” stated, “We are grateful for what we have in the process of expanding our beautiful family Thank you for your support.”
