A missile assault on a military bus in northern Syria on Friday morning killed ten troops and injured nine others, according to state news agency SANA.
According to the report, “terrorists” launched an anti-shield missile on a military bus in the Anjara district of the western countryside of Syria’s northern province of Aleppo, killing ten troops.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the troops who were killed were pro-government fighters.
The UK-based watchdog group also stated that the death toll is expected to grow because to the large number of seriously injured combatants.
The incident is the latest in a series of attacks against Syrian military forces.
In March, 13 troops were slain in an IS ambush in the countryside of Homs, Syria’s central province.
