“If I ask you to identify five good films, you will be unable to do so, and if I ask you about film songs, even the singers here will be unable to respond, which very much tells you that we haven’t given anything major yet,” he stated in response to a query on local filmmakers’ work. Accepting our mistakes is beneficial because it allows us to move ahead. We need to make 70 to 80 films per year, with 10 to 15 of those being pictures that we can own.
