Temples in Karnataka play Hanuman Chalisa at 5am ‘to counter Azan’

The Hindustan Times claimed that multiple temples in Karnataka, India, performed Hanuman Chalisa and other Hindu hymns at 5 a.m. to oppose the Muslim call to prayer, Aza.

In temples across Karnataka, including Bengaluru, Belgaum, Dharwad, Mysuru, Mandya, and Kalaburagi, Srirama Bhajane, Hanuman Chalisa, Mantrapatana, and Mantra were heard.

Sri Ram Sene head Pramod Muthalik had previously asked Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and Home Minister Araga Jnanendra to exhibit “guts” and take action against the unlicensed use of loudspeakers in mosques.

To ensure unity across Karnataka, some Sri Ram Sene activists were reportedly placed into preventive custody.

“According to the court’s ruling, rigorous measures will be made to control noise pollution. Everyone must strictly observe the court’s directives. The perpetrators would face severe judicial consequences “Araga Jnanendra stated

According to reports, the temple’s governing and controlling organisations did not support the Sri Ram Sene campaign.
