Putin is ‘gravely ill, military leaders would ‘ignore’ nuclear orders

According to investigative journalist Christo Grozev, the Russian President’s putin inner circle believes he is “dying or gravely ill.” Mr. Grozev went on to warn that if Putin is not present to defend them, they are hesitant to risk being prosecuted in a modern-day version of the Nuremberg trials.

“I can’t speak without information,” the Russian expert said in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon. “But we know that oligarchs from his closest circle claim it.”

“We also know that the Lubyanka [FSB secret service] sent a letter to all regional FSB chiefs about a month ago.

“It said, ‘We insist you do not pay attention if you hear about him having a very serious illness.’

“As a result, they all assumed the exact opposite.

“So I don’t think it matters if he’s dying or gravely ill; what matters is that the people around him believe so.”

“This alters the equation; it is a factor in determining how loyal people believe they should be to him.”

“For the sаme reаson, someone is unlikely to press the nucleаr button, knowing thаt if he is gone in three or six months, who will protect them from а Nuremberg triаl?”
