Samsung has been remarkably prompt in upgrading many of its devices to the most recent version of its Android skin, One UI 4.1, which was released alongside the Galaxy S22 series a few months ago. This is Samsung’s second One UI version based on Android 12, and now that it’s available on flagships and mid-range devices alike, we thought we’d take a closer look to see what’s new and what’s changed.

We go through the overall interface and appearance of the skin, including several customization options and minor niggles with the default settings. The task switcher, app drawer, edge panel, power button shortcuts, and preloaded programmes are next, followed by fast dives into some of the most important apps like the dialer.

Then you might be interested in certain privacy and security features, as well as Samsung’s Dex and Link to Windows capabilities (the former converting your phone into a computer and the latter linking your phone to your PC).
