In its fight with Ukraine, Russia has lost yet another Black Sea Fleet ship. This was stated by the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces in a report on enemy losses released on May 5
“Russia’s ship and boat losses total 11,” according to the statement, “plus one for the past day, on May 5.”
At the same time, neither the General Staff nor Operational Command South have supplied any information about the enemy ship’s loss.
The Russian frigate Admiral Makarov was damaged and is burning in the Black Sea near Zmiinyi (Snake) Island, according to media reports. Russian planes are presently circling the Black Sea area, and rescue ships have arrived from the temporarily held Crimea to assist the ship.
