The High-Level International Donors’ Conference for Ukraine raised USD 6.5 billion for the country.

While announcing the results of the Donors’ Conference for Ukraine, Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki mentioned the sum raised by foreign governments, international organizations, and private corporations, according to a journalist.

“I just received information on the final sum, and I am very glad to say that we have all contributed USD6.5 billion,” said Poland’s Prime Minister, who was met with applause from those in attendance.

He urged the audience to keep supporting Ukraine and the Ukrainian Heroes who are now defending Europe.

On Thursday, May 5, the High-Level International Donors’ Conference for Ukraine will be held in Warsaw, Poland. The summit, organised by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson, aims to generate funding for Ukraine’s rising humanitarian needs. As a result, Poland and Sweden are working to get significant promises to support the UN humanitarian response in Ukraine, as well as to consider next steps in assisting Ukraine in dealing with the war’s economic issues. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, and Charles Michel, President of the European Council, are the event’s partners.
