Denys Shmyhal, Ukraine’s Prime Minister, presented the United24 platform, which was launched by President Volodymyr Zelensky, to foreign partners and donors during a working trip to Warsaw.
According to the Government portal, the United24 is a global campaign to unite people behind support for Ukraine, as Shmyhal noted.
The Recovery Plan and the Recovery Fund are the initiative’s initial two components.
“We expect the Fund to be funded from five sources: assistance from partner countries and international financial institutions, assistance from large international corporations, frozen and confiscated Russian assets, contributions from individuals, and assistance from international humanitarian organizations and charitable foundations,” the Prime Minister said.
Ukraine is already working in all five sectors, according to the Prime Minister. Three of them use the IMF and World Bank’s processes, while the other two use the U24 internet portal.
Ukraine is also working on a detailed recovery plan. It will be based on the ideas of regionalism, in which partner countries and businesses assist in the restoration of a specific city or region, and parametricity, in which precise criteria for rebuilding and altering each sector of the economy are developed.
