The droll Jedi master “Obi-Wan Kenobi” is back, but according to the new teaser for the Disney+ series, he no longer has the upper hand.
When is it going to be released? On May 4th, a young Luke Skywalker, lightsaber-wielding baddies, and, of course, a certain Sith known for his hard breathing make appearances in the video.
The limited series, dubbed “Episode III: Revenge of the Sith,” follows Ewan McGregor’s famed Jedi after his disciple Anakin Skywalker goes full dark side in “Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.”
Years after Emperor Palpatine rose to power and “Ordered 66’d” most Jedi, Obi-Wan still can’t seem to get a break: he’s avoiding evil Inquisitors intent on tracking him down as one of the galaxy’s last living Jedi, and he’s keeping a close eye on a young Luke Skywalker, who lives simply on his Uncle Owen’s moisture farm on Tatooine.

The trailer closes with the unmistakably identifiable gasps of one Darth Vader, who has only recently become a Sith in the “Star Wars” chronology. Is there going to be a fight between the former master and the apprentice? Hayden Christensen will most likely reprise his role as a critically burned Anakin/Vader in the series.
Joel Edgerton, Kumail Nanjiani, Moses Ingram, and Rupert Friend are among the cast members. Who will be cast as the voice of a witty droid? How will the villains created by Ingram and Friend fare against Vader? Who will have the opportunity to say, “I have a horrible feeling about this.”
These and other questions will hopefully be answered when “Obi-Wan Kenobi” launches on Disney+ on May 27.
