Finance Minister Miftah Ismail on Tuesday said that the government is trying its level best to control the prices of essential commodities and people will soon hear good news.

Talking to the media in Karachi, he said that the prices of wheat flour and sugar available at the utility stores have already been reduced, while steps are being taken to control the prices of other essential goods in the market.

Talking about the incident in Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, Miftah Ismail expressed his profound displeasure and said that PTI’s politics of abuse and incivility has led the situation to this point. He said it is also their responsibility to teach children and politically train workers on how to behave.

Replying to a question, the finance minister said the investigations regarding alleged corruption cases of the previous government will continue and all the cases will be thoroughly looked into to bring the corrupt people to justice.
