Carole Middleton, Kate Middleton’s mother, is said to have had a public spat with her daughter.
Carole Middleton and Kate Middleton are said to have had a falling out after the latter “tried to take over her home life,” according to OK! Magazine.
According to a source close to the mother-daughter relationship, tensions between the Duchess of Cambridge and her mother have been building for some time, and they haven’t spoken in around three months.
Kate had been felt her mother was being ‘pushy,’ and after the epidemic made her realise how involved Carole was in her home life, she eventually told her to ‘back off.’
“Kate relished every minute of it and realised she can do without her overbearing mother attempting to take over,” the insider claimed, referring to the early days of the pandemic when Kate got to spend more time with her kids without any assistance from Carole.
Kate’s mother would also show up unannounced to spend time at her home, according to the informant.
“Kate would be in the middle of a Zoom call or home-schooling the kids, and it would be Carole with a suitcase expecting to stay over. She’d walk into the house like she owned the place and try to take over the home-schooling and tell Kate how to dress the kids.”
