After being picked by Baltimore Ravens, offensive tackle Daniel Faalele is on his way to being the NFL’s heaviest player.
The 22-year-old Australian, who is 6ft 8in tall and weighs 27st 6lb, was selected 110th overall in the fourth round.
Faalele was a rugby and basketball player before deciding to play American football at the age of 16.
Last season, New England Patriots offensive tackle Trent Brown (27st 1lb) was the league’s heaviest player.
If Faalele makes his debut, according to NFL Research, he will be the second-heaviest NFL player in history, after former Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans offensive tackle Char-ron Dorsey (27st 9lb).
