Meanwhile, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that a handful of people maligned Pakistanis at Roza Rasool (SAWW).

In a statement on Friday, he also strongly condemned the disrespectful incident that took place at the holy mosque.

It is pertinent to mention here that earlier, when  Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation members arrived at the Roza-e-Rasool (SAWW), the people present there chanted slogans of “Chor Chor” (thief). The guards had saved them from the crowd.

In a video message, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb condemned the incident of hurling slogans against PM Shehbaz Sharif and his delegations at Masjid-e-Nabawi.

She said the holy land of Madina Manawara should not be used for politics.

Terming such incidents as destruction for the society, Marriyum said her party workers were also there but they were instructed not to adopt such attitude.

She expressed regret that there was a section of the society, who was maintaining the (abominable) traditions. She said, “It will take time, but these attitudes will change with our positive attitudes.”

About Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Saudi Arabia, she said it helped strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
