VLADIMIR PUTIN’S health has come under scrutiny once more after he was shown shaking erratically in newly released video.
However, this is not the first time the Russian strongman has sparked speculation about his health and mental state in the aftermath of his decision to launch a violent invasion of Ukraine on February 24. On five consecutive instances, evidence has suggested that Vladimir Putin may be suffering from a severe neurological condition such as Parkinson’s.
Some have questioned if Putin’s evident and rapid loss in health influenced his decision-making during the atrocities in Ukraine.
The Russian dictator’s health was the subject of speculation in November 2020, when political analyst Professor Valery Solovei said the president had cancer and Parkinson’s disease.
Professor Solovei claimed Putin began therapy for the degenerative condition in February 2021, which the Kremlin refuted amid speculation that he might step down in 2022.
But, since then, Putin has done little to dispel concerns about his health, appearing in public on multiple occasions while displaying symptoms of illness.
Recently, the Russian autocrat was caught on camera exhibiting “hand and leg tremors” during a meeting with his Belarusian colleague.
The disturbing video shows Putin with one hand on his chest and the other balled into a fist.
However, as he approaches Belaru’s President, Alexander Lukashenko, his right thumb produces a spasm-like action.
He is then shown looking wobbly on his feet and shifting his weight from one leg to the other in try to balance.
Last week, the Russian dictator can be seen grasping his desk fiercely during the majority of a meeting with his defence minister, Sergei Shoigu.
