Putin has threatened any country that ‘interferes’ with Russia’s battle in Ukraine with ‘lightning’ speed strikes

Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a direct threat to the West on Wednesday, threatening “lightning” rapid strikes on any country that “interferes” with Russia’s war in Ukraine.

“Anyone who attempts to intervene from the outside and [pose] unacceptable strategic risks to Russia should be aware that our counter-retaliatory actions will occur at lightning speed,” he said.

This week, Russia drew worldwide ire after suggesting that Western support for Kyiv during Russia’s 60-day assault could lead to nuclear conflict.

Despite requests from countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom to tone down the threatening rhetoric, Putin stepped up the rhetoric on Wednesday.

“We have all of the necessary tools. No one else can boast about right now, the kind that no one else can boast of “He was referring to Russia’s recent deployment of a hypersonic missile.

“And we’re not going to brag about it; we’ll use them if required. I want everyone to be aware of this “He went on to say more. “In this sense, all decisions have been made.”

As Russia cranks up its second attack in eastern and southern Ukraine, NATO nations and other allies have committed to continue to defend Ukraine. Defense officials have warned that the combat will be significantly more violent.

Moscow has defended its “special military operation” in Ukraine by claiming that it is attempting to “denazify” particular regions, a charge that Ukraine and the West have refuted.
