Fawad Chaudhry criticises conduct of judiciary for Sharif family

Former information minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday criticised the conduct of judiciary agaisnt the Sharif family following extension of interim bails for Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz were extended.

Addressing the media, Fawad said it was shameful that the premier of the country was facing money laundering charges. He criticised the conduct of the judiciary in cases on the Sharif family.

He said, “The conduct of courts in Sharif family’s cases is questionable. Decisions like these are the reason our judiciary is ranked 130th globally.”

However, the former minister expressed hope that the judiciary would fulfill its duties and dispense justice soon.

He reiterated that the solution to the crises in the country lies in fresh elections. Fawad said the imported government didn’t have the right to take long-term decisions.

Meanwhile, he demanded election commission of Pakistan (ECP) to allocate ‘lota’ symbol for all parties part of the coalition government. He said the symbol will reflect the style of politics of the parties in the government.
