Happy Beta Day for Overwatch 2! There will certainly be many who are left without golden beta ticket as many people awake to find it in their inboxes. But fear not, Heroes, Blizzard has devised a method for obtaining an invite to what is effectively Overwatch 2’s soft-launch day.
Anyone who connects their Battle.net account to their Twitch profile and watches at least four hours of Overwatch 2 from a list of streamers can get admission to the OW2 beta starting tomorrow for a few hours.
Players may try out the 33rd hero, Sojourn, as well as all of the new hero improvements, the brand-new Push game mode, and the five vs. five revamp throughout the beta. Unfortunately, the beta is only available to PC gamers, but Blizzard has stated that console players will be able to participate in the beta in the future.
The offer begins at 1 p.m. ET on April 27th and runs through 9 p.m. ET on April 28th. You don’t have to follow the same streamer for the entire four hours because your time is tracked across all of the allowed channels.
If you don’t have the time (or motivation) to watch Twitch for four hours to get entry to the beta, you may try your luck the old-fashioned way by signing up for beta access on Overwatch 2’s website. The test will run through May 17th, and Blizzard has promised that new participants will be added on a regular basis.
