Lynne Ciani, the attorney for model Blac Chyna, has asked the Los Angeles Superior Court to allow her to redo her testimony after a ‘unethical’ cross-examination by the Kardashians’ lawyer left the model ‘visibly shaken.’
Chyna, born Angela Renée White, was cross-examined last week during her defamation trial against the Kardashians.
Her lawyer, Ciani, has asked the court to re-hear Chyna’s testimony because attorney Michael Rhodes, who represents Kim, Khloe Kardashian, Kris and Kylie Jenner in the case, launched a “deliberate and unethical psychological attack” on the mother-of-two.
According to her lawyer, Chyna was moved to tears on the witness stand after being shown several nude photos of herself that her ex-fiancé Rob Kardashian had leaked online.
According to Daily Mail’s coverage of the trial, both Rob and Chyna agreed that the pictures would not be shown to the jury, but the Kardashians’ lawyer showed the explicit pictures in court.
The incident, according to the attorney, ‘derailed’ Chyna’s ability to complete her testimony as planned.
“There was a stipulation that the photos would not be included which was violated intentionally,” her lawyer stated. “I’m trying to suggest corrective action so we don’t have to have a mistrial.”
Chyna has filed a $300 million lawsuit against Kris and Kylie Jenner, as well as Kim and Khloé Kardashian for influencing to get her reality TV show Rob and Chyna cancelled.
