Karachi University Blast: PM calls Sindh Chief Minister, demands report

KARACHI: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to seek information about the blast incident that took place in Karachi earlier today.

PM condemned the blast that took place in van on the premises of University of Karachi taking lives of at least four people including three Chinese nationals.

PM Shehbaz said that he shares the grief of the affected families in the highly reprehensible incident.

Whereas, Federal Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb maintained that the invesitagtions have been going on in regards to the blast.

Notably, the blast took lives of four people including two foreigner women and a man.

The high-intensity blast in a van parked near the Commerce Department shattered glass windows and broke window doors of the nearby buildings.

More casualties are feared, relief sources told Bol News. The law enforcement authorities present on the site of the incident are ascertaining the source of the blast.

Karachi Police Chief Ghulam Nabi Memon said that initial investigations suggest that it could be a suicide blast.
