LOS ANGELES — During an incident in December 2016, Kylie Jenner testified in court that her brother Rob Kardashian told her that Blac Chyna placed a gun to his head, choked him with an iPhone cable, and damaged a door and television while Chyna was under the influence of alcohol and “maybe drugs.”
“[Rob] used the words, ‘She was trying to kill me,’” Jenner told the courtroom, which included her sister Khloé Kardashian and her mom, Kris Jenner, in the gallery.
Rob Kardashian claimed he was playing video games when Chyna approached him and tried to suffocate him with an iPhone wire, according to Jenner. He allegedly informed her he locked himself in the main bedroom and “that’s why the door was damaged,” according to Jenner.
“I did go to the house [after the incident],” Jenner said in response to questions from Chyna’s attorney Lynne Ciani. “I remember him being upset and explaining what happened.”
Chyna is seeking millions of dollars in damages from Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner in her civil claim against the Kardashian family, which is now on trial. Angela White, Chyna’s true name, is blaming her family for the cancellation of Rob & Chyna, the former couple’s E! reality programme.
In her own evidence last week, Chyna rejected the charges of being aggressive, stating she did “jokingly” hold a string around Rob’s neck but wasn’t trying to “strangle him.” She also stated that she did not point the gun at Rob’s head, which she claimed was unloaded.
Jenner also stated in her Monday testimony that she was “a little upset” when Rob proposed to Chyna because she “found out through the internet.” Chyna, Jenner’s ex-boyfriend, had previously been engaged to Chyna and had a child with her. “I was happy for my brother,” Jenner remarked when she found out Chyna was pregnant with Rob’s child again. At the same time, I was interested in seeing how things turned out.
Chyna claimed on the stand, sipping from a black water bottle, that they had “an OK relationship” while Chyna was pregnant with Dream.
“I wanted to be cool with Chyna,” she said. “Despite everything, I wanted it to work out for my brother.”
Jenner explained that the couple moved into one of her Hidden Hills homes because Rob “had expressed wanting to live under the same roof” with Chyna, and one of Jenner’s investment properties happened to be vacant at the time. She stated in court that she did not expect Rob or Chyna to pay rent while residing in her home.
After Rob told her about the December 2016 event, Jenner said she began to doubt Chyna’s love for him.
Jenner claimed that Tyga informed her that when he dated Chyna, she sliced his arm and that she suffers from alcohol and drug addiction.
Jenner said she awoke one morning to threatening text messages from Chyna, which contained devil emojis and “something along the lines of, ‘counting down the days,'” during her relationship with Tyga, which has since ended.
“I didn’t report it because I took it as an empty threat,” Jenner said. “I assumed she was high.”
On Monday, Jeff Olde, Eformer !’s executive vice president of development and programming, testified via Zoom about Rob & Chyna’s termination. The sitcom was discontinued after its first season, according to Olde, because the couple broke up. Emails from Kylie Jenner and Khloé Kardashian to Olde during the time were read out during his testimony, in which both sisters expressed their concerns about Rob’s connection with Chyna.
“I feel very strongly about canceling Season 2 of Rob & Chyna,” Jenner wrote. “The show is giving this toxic woman money and exposure she lives and breathes for and by continuing it, she will proceed with using and physically abusing my brother.”
In a separate email, Khloé wrote, “The sisters are clearly concerned and uncomfortable for our brother’s safety and the credibility of the brand at this point due to how they are both tarnishing it.”
Khloé waved Kylie off the witness stand after the jury walked out of the courthouse on Monday. The Kardashian/Jenner sisters exited the courthouse holding hands, followed by Kris Jenner. Kylie walked passed Chyna.
