Tyra Banks has had a revival in her career recently, but she may have trouble securing future jobs in light of recent charges surrounding her time on America’s Next Top Model.

A former contestant admitted in a new report that the competition series was “psychological warfare,” while others — including Keenyah Hill, who claimed Banks once told her to use “feminine wiles” to fend off an aggressive male model, and season 6 winner Dani Evans, who was encouraged by the host to close her dental gap — have also spoken out about their ordeals.

According to a source, the Dancing With the Stars host, 48, is distraught by the backlash and has canceled her Twitter account in the wake of the allegations.

“If Tyra came down hard on the contestants, it’s because she wanted them to succeed,” says the insider. “But she’s been painted as a bully and that hurts.” (In 2020, Banks — who was the creator and an executive producer on ANTM — issued a mea culpa, admitting there were “different categories of things we messed up.”)

“Tyra wishes she’d done things differently,” the insider adds. “But she doesn’t think it’s fair that she be held solely accountable.

Still, Tyra’s difficult reputation precedes her — especially at DWTS, where the insider claims she acts like a “queen bee” and is “rubbing people the wrong way.”
