Means, who was named to the 2019 All-Star team, went 0-2 with a 3.03 ERA in two starts this season. Means threw a no-hitter against Seattle in May of this year. As the only baserunner for the Seattle Mariners came in on a wild pitch, he nearly had a perfect game.

Despite being 6-9 with a 3.62 ERA, Means led a team with the worst winning percentage in the league.

Means was put on the 10-day injured list on April 15 and later transferred to 60-day IL because of a sprained elbow.
