ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday demanded that the Supreme Court should conduct an open hearing into the matter relating to the threatening diplomatic letter, claiming that the National Security Committee (NSC) endorsed his previous claims again.
Addressing the media in Islamabad, he said the NSC’s latest statement established that there was a US conspiracy to remove him from office.
Imran Khan said the cable was real and that Pakistan’s ex-ambassador to the US held a meeting with American official Donald Lu where the ‘threatening’ language was used.

He added that the US official told the ambassador that Imran Khan had to be removed via no-confidence motion, and it was tabled the next day by the opposition.
He demanded the Supreme Court of Pakistan to conduct an open hearing into the lettergate to expose all the characters behind the conspiracy.
PTI chairman said, “If the apex court fails to do so, then no prime minister would be able to stand firm against conspiracies and threats.”
Imran Khan accused PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif, and PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari of being part of the foreign conspiracy.
