QUETTA: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that overall law and order situation in Balochistan was satisfactory.
He stated this while chairing a high level review meeting regarding law and order situation in Balochistan. The meeting was briefed about the law and order situation in the province.
Addressing the participants of the meeting, the prime minister added that the federal government would extend all possible assistance to the provincial government for ensuring peace and stability in Balochistan.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Muhammad Akhtar Mengal, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Communication Asad Mehmood, Federal Minister for Housing and Works Maulana Abdul Wasey and high ranking officers attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Abdul Qaddus Bizinjo briefed the PM over the administrative issues and the law and order situation in the province. The CM also apprised him about the steps taken to control the price hike.
The prime minister directed to ensure the supply of daily commodities to the masses at fixed prices.
Earlier, Shehbaz Sharif was given a guard of honor at Chief Minister Secretariat soon after he arrived in Quetta on a day-long visit on Saturday.
The premier reviewed the guard of honor as contingent of police presented a salute to him.
Meanwhile, the media wing of armed forces, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday said three Pakistan Army soldiers embraced shahadat (martyrdom), while fighting against terrorists in North Waziristan district.
“Terrorists from inside Afghanistan across the international border, opened fire on Pakistani troops in general area Dewagar, North Waziristan,” the ISPR said. The Pakistani troops responded in a befitting manner, resulting in heavy casualties of terrorists, as per credible intelligence reports.
