MPA Faisal Zaman who was detained at MPA hostel for allegedly involving in murder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader fled from the sub-jail in Peshawar on Friday.
The PTI leader was arrested for allegedly murdering another PTI leader Malik Tahir Iqbal in December 2020 and MPA hostel was declared as a jail for the arrested MPA at Speaker KP assembly’s request.
After the arrest, anti-terrorism court cancelled the bail for Faisal Zaman and guards were deployed at the sub-jail to monitor his movements.

As per sources, the MPA managed to escape the sub-jail on Friday afternoon. A Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage showed him fleeing out of the hostel and running off in a vehicle waiting outside.
Notably, PTI Malik Tahir was assassinated on September 13, 2020 along with his friend Sardar Gul Nawaz.
