Record Store’s 15th anniversary is today on April 23, and GRAMMY Museum hosted Celebrating Record Store Day, celebration that looked back at RSD’s influence on the industry. The panel also showed Metallica’s Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo.

Record Store Day is celebrating its 15th anniversary, for four days prior, vinyl enthusiasts and Metallica fans gathered in Los Angeles’ Clive Davis Theater on April 19 to know about the history of Record Store Day and the GRAMMY-winning rock band’s involvement in it.

Celebrating Record Store Day panel is featuring Metallica’s Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo, RSD Co-Founder Michael Kurtz, and Rand Foster, owner of Fingerprint Music loved Long Beach, Calif. record store. Audience also got details on Hammett’s debut solo EP, Portals, dropping on this year’s Record Store Day, and they experienced a soul-stirring two-song performance from Nilüfer Yanya.
