Helen Flanagan revealed her Grandma’s death in a heartfelt tribute on social media.
The 31-year-old, who is married to footballer Scott Sinclair and has three children, Matilda, six, Delilah, three, and Charlie, 13 months, shared the terrible news on Instagram.
“My Nanna died away last week,” she said to her 1 million Instagram followers, with a few beautiful photos of her Nanna, Nancy, embracing her children. “I adored and adored my Nanna.”
“I’m thrilled to be Nancy’s grandchild,” the actress said, adding that her Nanna was “an wonderful person.”
Get Me Out Of Here, I’m A Celebrity! “I am so glad for the wonderful days we spent and that my Nanna got to meet all three of my beautiful children that my Nanna adored and gave her so much,” the celebrity added movingly.
The TV actress went on to remark that she is “very grateful” for her “greatest childhood memories, holiday memories, and memories with [her] babies.”
“I wish I could see her and give her one final embrace and tell her how much I loved her but I think she knew,” Helen said at the end of the message.
Helen’s mother Julia can be seen out on a stroll with Nancy and one of Helen’s daughters in one of the adorable photos, while Nancy can be seen holding one of Helen’s children when they were newborn in another.
Helen’s words were met with outpourings of sympathy from her co-stars on Coronation Street, who expressed their sympathies.
“Oh Helen, I’m so sorry,” Helen’s on-screen mother Sally Dynevor wrote. “My heartfelt condolences to you and your family.”
“I’m very sad for your loss, Hels,” Michelle Keegan stated.
“Sending so much love my dear,” Katie McGlynn said.
“Oh Helen!” Brooke Vincent exclaimed. Please accept my heartfelt apologies!! “I adore you!” says the narrator.
Helen’s friends and followers, meanwhile, were quick to express their love and support.
“So sad for your loss, thinking of you,” one person said. “Hold on to those great memories.”
“Sorry for your loss, your nanna would of absolutely knew how much you loved her,” another said.
Kendall Rae Knight of Love Island wrote: “Oh Helen, sending you so much love.”
Helen, who portrayed Rosie Webster in the ITV serial, recently revealed that her children were suffering from Scarlet fever.
“All the kids have Scarlet fever x Glad to know what it is after Delilah not being herself and the medicine to treat it,” Helen wrote beside a photo of her middle child Delilah.
