Angelina Jolie is said to be suing the FBI, according to recent reports from ET Canada. According to court records obtained by ET, a lady going by the name Jane Doe is suing the FBI for information on an alleged domestic violence incident that occurred on a private jet years ago.
This account of the case bears a striking resemblance to the events that led to Jolie’s ultimate split from ex-husband Brad Pitt. Jane Doe requested anonymity in the case, citing her “public stature” in court records. The suit was filed under the Freedom of Information Act and seeks clarity “about the agency’s investigation of an incident of domestic violence that occurred several years ago involving plaintiff and her minor children as victims and witnesses.” “Several years ago, while plaintiff, her then-husband, and their children, all of whom were minors at the time, were travelling via private aircraft, the husband allegedly physically and verbally assaulted plaintiff and the children,” Doe stated in the case.
Meanwhile, Doe stated that the FBI launched an inquiry but then publicly declared that it was closing the case without informing her. Doe claimed that the responses to her FOIA request were “legally insufficient,” prompting her to sue the “defendants’ withholding of more data.”

“The potential revelation of confidential details about the attack and its impact on the children’s physical and mental health risks considerable injury to the children,” the suit said of her decision to remain nameless, adding that the risk for her children “is even greater due to plaintiff’s public standing.”
The plane incident occurred in September 2016, for those unfamiliar with Pitt and Jolie’s earlier lawsuit. Pitt was investigated by the FBI when his family reported that during a journey from Europe to the United States, Pitt allegedly got into a furious argument with Maddox, who was 15 at the time.
