In audio recordings played in court during the £100 million defamation trial, Amber Heard acknowledged to punching Johnny Depp.
Depp, 58, is suing his ex-wife for defamation, claiming that her allegations of domestic abuse have hurt his business and image.
The current defamation trial in America heard audio recordings of Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard discussing a confrontation that occurred earlier.
The tapes looked to have been made by Depp, and throughout the talk, Heard confessed to assaulting her ex-husband.
Heard says Depp in one scene: “I didn’t throw a punch at you.
“I’m sorry I didn’t give you a nice slap across the face.
“I wasn’t punching you; I was striking you.”
“Don’t tell me how it feels to be punched,” Depp said.
Heard’s response was: “You’ve been in a lot of fights and have a lot of experience.
“You were not punched. You were struck. I’m sorry for the way I hit you; I didn’t punch you. I didn’t f**k with you.
“I was f**king slamming into you. I’m not sure what my real hand motion was. You’re all right. I did not injure you, nor did I punch you; instead, I was striking you. I’m not sat here biting my nails.”
After that, he said, “You’re a fu**ing baby.” You’re such a knucklehead! Johnny, you need to grow up.”
Depp then claimed there was a violent altercation, to which Heard said, “I did initiate a physical altercation,” to which Depp replied, “I got the f**k out of there.”
Heard remarked, sarcastically, “You are admirable.”
This comes as the trial for Depp’s defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife proceeds.
The 35-year-old actress has filed a countersuit against Depp, alleging that his legal team unjustly accused her of inventing charges against the actor.
Depp is accused of directing a “smear campaign” against Heard, and his lawsuit is described as a continuation of “abuse and harassment,” according to Heard’s complaint.
