Love Lies Bleeding is a narrative about the extreme qualities required to compete in the competitive world of bodybuilding. Kristen Stewart will play a protective lover of a female bodybuilder in the co-starring role.
Kristen Stewart will play the leading role in director Rose Glass’ romantic thriller. The film, titled Love Lies Bleeding, is being produced by Hollywood studio A24 and looks at a love story fueled by ego, want, and the American Dream.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Glass, who is best known for her 2019 indie smash Saint Maud, is directing from a script she co-wrote with Weronika Tofilska.
The plot revolves around the extraordinary attributes required to win in the competitive bodybuilding arena. Stewart will play the co-lead role of a female bodybuilder’s protective lover.

Andrea Cornwell of Lobo Films and Oliver Kassman of Escape Plan Productions will produce alongside A24.
Stewart was most recently nominated for an Academy Award for her portrayal in Pablo Larrain’s Spencer as Princess Diana. She’ll soon be seen in David Cronenberg’s upcoming science fiction drama Crimes of the Future.
