A number of settlements in the Kharkiv region’s Izium have been liberated by Ukraine’s Armed Forces. According to Ukrinform, Oleksandr Motuzianyk, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, said this during a briefing when journalists posed a pertinent question.

“Yes, I can attest to this. As a result of the fierce fighting, the Ukrainian military has liberated a number of communities. “However, I am unable to share any other information,” he stated.

The town of Izium and its environs in the Slobozhanskyi direction, according to Motuzianyk, have the highest concentration of Russian units.

“They’ll try to launch an offensive from there, especially in the east,” he warned.

According to Ukrinform, the town of Izium is still the epicenter of the Armed Forces’ resistance to the Russian assault in the Kharkiv region. The Russian invaders amassed up to 22 battalion tactical groups in the area of Izium, according to the Ukrainian General Staff. Attacks are successfully repelled, and enemy military equipment and troops are destroyed.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24. Russian troops have been pounding and destroying major infrastructure sites, as well as extensive shelling of Ukrainian city and village residential areas with artillery and multiple rocket launchers.
