Peter Kay made his first return to stage after around 10 years, Peter stepped away from the spotlight in 2017.
Peter’s last tour was in 2011, but on Friday he kicked off his ‘Dance For Life’ tour at Manchester Central Convention Complex, by getting involved by DJing and dancing.
His attire on big screen was, rocking a sparkly jacket adorned with colorful records with a rainbow sweatband, comedian took to the DJ decks as archive clips of his hit Channel 4 sitcom, Max & Paddy’s Road To Nowhere.
Legend even danced with an ensemble of fellow dancers, dance party show also reportedly showed some in-jokes for his fans, with Sister Sledge’s We Are Family playing at one point.
The song featured the iconic misheard lyric from Kay’s comedy show, which sees him declare: ‘Just let me staple the vicar’.
Comedian will again host the show tonight, and then in August as he heads to Liverpool.
He made his return to the stage last year for a show, where he received a standing ovation. He also popped up during BBC’s Big Night In during the Covid-19 pandemic, and appeared at charity show at Manchester’s O2 Apollo in August his fans were happy to see him.
Comedian he told the audience: ‘I’ve never in my life had a standing ovation when I came on.
‘I’m going to go away for four more years.’
Peter cancelled his last tour in December 2017, because of some family circumstances, he kept things low key ever since.
He have created a new Instagram account to promote his new shows.
