Volodymyr Zelensky warned tonight that Russia is willing to use nuclear weapons to end its invasion of Ukraine, urging the world to ‘prepare’ for the worst by stocking up on radiation medicine and building air raid shelters.

After announcing the end of the world in an interview with national media, he shared the clip on his Telegram channel.

On Friday, he said it was possible that desperate Russian dictator Vladimir Putin would use tactical nukes as his war against Ukraine stalled.

It comes after Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told CNN in a recent interview that in the event of a ‘existential threat,’ Moscow would use a nuclear weapon on Ukraine, and Russian military doctrine includes the ‘escalate to de-escalate’ principle of launching a small nuke to regain the initiative in a war.

Zelensky said tonight: ‘We shouldn’t wait for the moment when Russia decides to use nuclear weapons… We must prepare for that.’
