A US journalist has questioned Meghan Markle’s usage of the title of Duchess after she and Prince Harry ceased official obligations.
Perez Hilton, an American blogger, shared a piece by royal biographer Omid Scobie, in which he referred to Meghan as “Duchess Meghan.”
Mr. Hilton expressed himself as follows: “Why is she referred to as Duchess Meghan? Meghan Markle and Prince Harry left that life behind.”
Mr Scobie said, ” “She still has (and uses) a title, so nothing has changed there. Their titles are still used by every major channel.”
After retiring as working royals in March 2020, Meghan and Harry preserved their titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex but opted to cease using their HRH styles.
