Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri resigned from his position minutes before the National Assembly (NA) session to vote for the no-confidence motion against him.
The NA session was to convene today noon with the removal of Qasim Suri and the election of the new speaker on the agenda.
As per details, the resignation was sent to the secretary national assembly office.

After the resignation of the deputy speaker, there left no need for the vote on no-confidence motion against him.
It should be noted that after the resignation of Asad Qaiser, Qasim Suri took the slot as the acting speaker national assembly.
Qasim Suri accepted the resignations of 123 members of PTI before his resignation.
