President’s Office advisor says: Ukraine’s actions in response to Russia’s unprovoked war “justified”

Legally and morally, whatever action is taken in response to Russia’s aggressive and criminal activities against Ukrainians is legitimate.

Mykhailo Podolak, the head of the President’s Office’s advisor, made the appropriate comment via Twitter, according to Ukrinform.

“Russia was the one who launched an unprovoked attack on foreign soil. With large-scale damage of civilian infrastructure and mass purposeful deaths of civilians. As a result, any retaliatory acts taken by Ukraine are ethically and legally acceptable “Podoliak explained.

On February 24, Russia launched a full-scale offensive against Ukraine, marking the start of a new phase in the eight-year conflict.

The enemy has been attacking and shelling peaceful Ukrainian towns and villages in large numbers. The Armed Forces, Territorial Defense Forces, and the entire Ukrainian country are successfully repelling Russia’s invasion, with heavy casualties.
