ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan has started receiving nomination papers for the local bodies’ elections in thirty-two districts of Balochistan.
According to the schedule issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan, the candidates can submit their nomination papers with the returning officer concerned by Monday.
The list of nominated candidates will be released on Tuesday. Polling for the local government elections will be held on 29th of next month in all districts of Balochistan except Quetta and Lasbela.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday said it had full capability to hold general elections as per law in the country.
In a clarification on statements of some politicians, the commission said the ECP was fully aware of its constitutional and legal responsibilities and it was fulfilling them too, as per the past practice.
It asked political leaders to avoid irrelevant criticism on the ECP and assured that the ECP was fully committed to complete its legal tasks, given in the constitution of the country.
