THE QUEEN has granted her trusty aide permission to expose her Covid lockdown secrets — and compete with Prince Harry’s tell-all book.
Angela Kelly, a royal dresser who has worked for Her Majesty for 28 years, will relate the story of HMS Bubble and Prince Philip’s death in her contribution.
The publisher HarperCollins has announced that a new chapter for Angela’s 2019 picture book The Other Side of the Coin will be released next month in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
“The Queen directly gave Angela her consent to share their unmatched friendship with the world,” they claim, adding that “Angela is the first serving member of the Royal Household to be granted this unprecedented authority.”
It will detail the lockdown when the Queen was shielded by her steel ring, called HMS Bubble. It will cover the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral and will show how Angela trimmed and styled the Queen’s hair.
